Racquel, a proud member of Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation, brings 14 years of experience in Indigenous legal interests in Indigenous law, trust structures, governance, and secured lending. She is known for cultivating strong relationships with First Nations governments and organizations.  

Racquel leads Indigenous Wealth Solutions at Scotiatrust, a dedicated team that delivers customized trustee services to Indigenous Nation clients. She also plays a key role in advancing excellence within Scotiatrust’s Indigenous Trusts National Centre of Expertise, the bank’s premier hub for Indigenous Trusts knowledge and resources.  

Racquel was called to the Bar of the Law Society Alberta in 2012 and holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Victoria and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Lethbridge. Outside of her work, she serves her community as Board Member of the National Aboriginal Trust Officers Association and serves as a trustee for her Nation.
