Quelemia is an Indigenous actor, writer, director, and dramaturge from the Musqueam Nation. A multidisciplinary artist, her work is rooted in Musqueam culture, storytelling, and protocols. Over the past 20 years, she has shared sχʷəy̓em̓ (Musqueam history), placenames, and teachings passed down from her grandparents. She has performed and created work with leading theatre companies across Canada, appeared in film and television, and won a Leo Award for her acting. As host of the Transform Cabaret and a consultant on reconciliation and decolonization, Quelemia continues to shape Canadian theatre through Indigenous methodologies and perspectives.
