Erik HunterDirector, Sioux Projects

    Erik Hunter is the Director for Sioux Projects, an indigenous led general contracting business based in British Columbia. With over 8 years of residential and commercial construction experience and 3 years working with First Nations, Erik Hunter has developed Sioux Projects into a construction firm known for integrity, quality and professionalism.

    Born and raised in an Indigenous family in Vancouver, Erik developed a passion for construction at a young age while working with his adoptive father. He studied Carpentry at BCIT and later completed an apprenticeship under master builders before starting his own business. Erik’s father believed thoroughly in the motto “No Indian left behind” which would later spark his passion for building good homes for Indigenous communities and inspired Sioux Projects tagline: “good homes are good medicine”.

    Outside of work, Erik enjoys studying building design, woodworking and community outreach.
